According to the information provided to Medianews.az by the National Hydrometeorology Service, lightning has occasionally flashed and rain has fallen in some parts of the country. In certain places, the precipitation was intense.
The amount of precipitation recorded was 47 mm in Qakh, 16 mm in Khaltan (Quba), 12 mm in Gadabay, 9 mm in Nakhchivan, 8 mm in Dashkasan, 5 mm in Gusar, 4 mm in Shahbuz and Kishchay (Sheki), 3 mm in Altiagach, 2 mm in Ganja, Tovuz, Naftalan, and up to 1 mm in Goranboy, Agstafa, Shamkir, Zagatala, Balakan, Khachmaz, Shabran, Ordubad, Shahdag.
On May 23, between approximately 18:45-18:50, small hail fell in the Agstafa region; at around 21:02, in the Dashbulag village of the Shamkir region; and at 21:27, in the villages of Qoshabulag, Parizamanli, and Samanliq of the Gadabay region.
The maximum air temperature was recorded up to 26°C in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 29°C in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 28°C in the Aran regions, and up to 17°C in the mountainous regions.
