In the match, the first goal was scored by the Netherlands national team's midfielder Cody Gakpo from a penalty in the 32nd minute. In the 90+2nd minute, Uzbekistan's forward Igor Sergeyev equalized. In the 90+8th minute, Cody Gakpo scored a double, securing a 2:1 victory for his team.
Both national teams will participate in the 2026 World Cup. The Netherlands will play in a group with Japan, Tunisia, and Sweden. Uzbekistan will face Portugal, Colombia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
