During the export of non-oil and gas goods of Azerbaijani origin, a transportation support amount (hereinafter referred to as export transportation support) will be paid from the state budget funds for the expenses incurred for their transportation, depending on the type of goods, customs value, country of export, and type of transportation.
Medianews.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on this matter.
In addition, a transportation support amount (hereinafter referred to as internal transportation support) will be paid from the state budget funds for the expenses incurred for the land transportation of non-oil and gas goods of Azerbaijani origin produced in Nakhchivan to other regions of the country.
The amount of export transportation support will be calculated based on the following:
- For the expenses incurred for the transportation of the exported goods, the amount paid in cashless form:
- If the transportation is carried out by railway, air, and sea transport, as well as by automobile transport registered in the Republic of Azerbaijan – 70%;
- If the transportation is carried out by automobile transport not registered in the Republic of Azerbaijan – 50%;
- Depending on the type of transportation used, a percentage of the customs value of the exported goods:
- If the transportation is carried out by automobile, railway, and air transport – 15%;
- If the transportation is carried out by sea transport – 5%;
- The final amount of export transportation support shall be the minimum of the amounts calculated in accordance with subparagraphs 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 of this Decree;
- The amount of internal transportation support constitutes 70% of the transportation expenses paid in cashless form for the land transportation of non-oil and gas goods of Azerbaijani origin produced in Nakhchivan to other areas of the country;
- The amounts of export and internal transportation support will be paid by the Ministry of Economy after the end of the quarter, based on the application of the exporter and the seller (consignor), respectively, for the transportations carried out during the quarter.
