To these areas hail has fallen

The actual weather observed in Azerbaijan has been disclosed.

According to the information provided to Medianews.az by the National Hydrometeorology Service, lightning occurred in most parts of the country, and rain fell intermittently.

In some places, the precipitation was of an intense nature. On May 13, a north-west wind blew in some areas, with maximum wind speeds reaching 21 m/s in Saatly, 20 m/s in Zaqatala and Sabirabad, 18 m/s in Naftalan, 16 m/s in Gobustan and Bilasuvar, and 15 m/s in Shaki.

The amount of precipitation recorded was: 23 mm in Qakh (Sarıbaş), 13 mm in Sabirabad and Shahbuz, 9 mm in Imishli, 8 mm in Gadabay, 7 mm in Saatly and Gobustan, 4 mm in Shirvan, Ordubad, Bilasuvar, and Julfa, 3 mm in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in Goygol, Dashkasan, Balakan, Zaqatala, Shamakhi, Jalilabad, Beylagan, Lankaran, Astara, and Lerik, 2 mm in Ismayilli, Aghstafa, Neftchala, Jabrayil, Sadarak, and Aghdam, and 1 mm in Lachin, Yardimli, Barda, Tartar, Mingachevir, Goychay, Yevlakh, Zardab, Kurdamir, Khaltan (Guba), Khizi, Shaki, Shahdag, Tovuz, Ganja, Naftalan, Shamkir, Goranboy, Nakhchivan, and Sharur.

On May 13, around 18:23-18:30, 9-12 mm of small-grain hail fell on Lachin city, and around 19:32-19:34, small-grain hail fell in the Dashkasan district.
