The animal will be frozen for 10 minutes and stored in a special warehouse.

According to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the vertebrate animal population has decreased by 73%. In response to this global crisis, a giant biological vault called BioVault has been constructed in Dubai. Within the framework of the project, the DNA of more than 10,000 species is frozen and preserved for future generations.

Reported by Milli.Az, the project, managed by "Colossal Biosciences" and funded by the UAE, has listed the 100 most critically endangered species as priorities. This biological vault, located in the Dubai Museum of the Future:

Protects frozen tissue samples and cell lines.

Acts as a scientific base to analyze the loss of biological diversity.

Stores important data for ecosystem restoration in the future.

This system operates on the same principle as the famous Svalbard Global Seed Vault in Norway. It essentially functions as a "genetic insurance" for the animal world.

Through the stored genetic information, the goal is to revive extinct species (de-extinction) in the future.

With modern freezing methods, cells are preserved for decades without losing viability.

The project founders plan for these biological banks not to be limited to Dubai but to spread worldwide. The aim is to establish a global DNA bank network to protect species in various geographic regions and accelerate scientific data exchange.
