Iran and the US "E-3 Sentry" special reconnaissance shot down his plane

On March 27, as a result of a strike by Iran on the Prince Sultan Military Air Base in Saudi Arabia using rockets and unmanned aerial vehicles, a U.S.-owned special reconnaissance aircraft was also damaged.

This information was reported by "The Wall Street Journal" citing American and Arab officials.

On Friday, the Prince Sultan Military Air Base was attacked. As a result, 12 American military personnel were injured, and several aircraft, including two "KC-135" refueling planes, were damaged.

Among the damaged aircraft was the "E-3 Sentry," which has an early warning and control system used to track missiles, drones, and aircraft at long distances in real time during battles.

The "E-3 Sentry" plays an important role in coordinating air operations and managing countermeasures against approaching threats. This weakens the U.S.'s ability to monitor events in the Persian Gulf and maintain situational awareness.

It was noted that such aircraft are limited in number in the U.S. Army and are difficult to replace./Apa
