On April 3, the chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilu.
Medianews.az reports that the CMO issued a statement about this meeting.
It was noted that warmly greeting the ambassador, Sheikh-ul-Islam expressed deep condolences on behalf of the country's clergy over the recent incidents in the friendly and brotherly country, which resulted in numerous casualties among peaceful civilians, especially female school students, and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
According to the chairman of the CMO, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has repeatedly stated that the territory of our country will not be allowed to be used against neighboring countries, including Iran, and this principled stance remains unchanged.
Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh noted that the sincere relations between the heads of both states, Ilham Aliyev and Masoud Pezeshkian, serve the continuous development of ties between our countries, and contribute to peace and stability in the region.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilu, expressed his gratitude to Sheikh-ul-Islam for his condolences, highly appreciated the moral support of the friendly Azerbaijani government and people, including the humanitarian aid provided during these difficult days of his country. The ambassador thanked the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev for his resolute stance aimed at peace and stability.
