Medianews.az citing the official website of the Professional Football League reports that the last goal of the match was scored by the home team's player Seydina Keita into his own net.
This was the 250th own goal in the history of the top league of Azerbaijani championships. Before Seydina, 249 such incidents had occurred in competitions held since 1992.
The first own goal was recorded on May 16, 1992. Vahid Mahmudov, a player of Kürdəmir "Shirvan", "distinguished himself" in the away match against "Kürmük" (0:6).
So far, 44 teams have scored own goals. 40 teams have celebrated opponents' goals. Keita is the 207th player to have scored an own goal.
It should be noted that there were more own goals in the 2022/2023 season — 18 in total. No such goals were recorded in the 1993/1994 season.
