Medianews.az reports via Idman.Biz that the Catalans were defeated in the quarterfinals of the current season by Madrid with an aggregate score of 2:3 (0:2, 2:1).
"Atletico Madrid" also defeated "Barcelona" in the quarterfinals during the 2013/14 and 2015/16 seasons.
Simeone has been leading "Atletico Madrid" since 2011.
