Azerbaijani oil: What is the price, how much is the production?

On May 21, the barrel of Azerbaijani oil branded "AzeriLight" is sold for 112.32 dollars.

Medianews.az reports that in the 2026 state budget, the price of one barrel of oil is estimated at 65 dollars, with "AzeriLight" starting January at 65.71, February at 69.72, March at 79.60, April at 132.35, and May at 122.26 dollars.

The international coalition of exporters has determined a daily crude oil production quota of 551 thousand barrels for Azerbaijan.

According to official reports, during the first four months of 2026, a total of 8.8 million tons of oil including condensate was extracted in the country, and crude oil and crude oil products worth 4.3 billion dollars were exported abroad.

Oil production was 44.5 million tons in 2008, 50.4 million tons in 2009, and 50.8 million tons in 2010.

It was declared that 45.6 million tons were produced in 2011, 43.4 million tons in 2012, 43.5 million tons in 2013, 42 million tons in 2014, and 41.6 million tons in 2015.

2016 ended with 41 million tons, 2017 with 38.7 million tons, 2018 with 38.8 million tons, 2019 with 37.4 million tons, and 2020 with 34.5 million tons of production.

In 2021, 34.6 million tons were produced; in 2022, 32.6 million tons; in 2023, 30.1 million tons; in 2024, 29 million tons; and in 2025, 27.7 million tons of oil production was recorded.
