Snow has fallen in most areas of Azerbaijan - Actual weather

The actual weather as of 10:00 on February 5 has been announced.

Medianews.az reports that the information was released by the National Hydrometeorology Service.

It was stated that unstable weather conditions were observed across the country. Rain fell in some regions, while snow fell in most areas.

The snow cover height was 36 cm in Zagatala (Alibay), 31 cm in Gakh (Sarybash), 20 cm in Sheki (Kishchay), 14 cm in Griz, 13 cm in Shahdag, 8 cm in Khinalig, 7 cm in Kalbajar and Gusar (Laza), 5 cm in Gubadli, Lachin and Lerik, 4 cm in Gobustan, Guba and Khizi, 3 cm in Shamakhi, and 2 cm in Yardimli.

The amount of precipitation recorded was 34 mm in Gabala, 23 mm in Astara, 21 mm in Lankaran, 18 mm in Jalilabad and Neftchala, 15 mm in Oghuz, 14 mm in Balakan, 11 mm in Bilasuvar, and up to 9 mm in most districts.

Fog was observed in Sumgait, Tartar, Goychay, Lerik, Ganja, Naftalan, Shamkir, Balakan, Zagatala, Gakh (Sarybash), Sheki, Gabala, Shamakhi, Gobustan, Gusar, and Guba. Visibility was limited up to 500 meters.

The minimum temperature was recorded as -1°C in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, -12°C in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, down to -14°C in mountainous regions, and up to +2°C in the Aran districts.
