The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has released information about the condition of Azerbaijani citizens injured as a result of ships being hit in the Sea of Azov.
Medianews.az reports that according to the information from the MFA, immediately after the news that Azerbaijani citizens were killed and injured as a result of a drone attack against cargo ships in the Sea of Azov on June 5, employees of the Azerbaijani Embassy in the Russian Federation immediately went to the area:
"Employees of the Consular Section of the Embassy are currently in the city of Yeysk and are providing appropriate consular support to the injured as well as rescued Azerbaijani citizens. The condition of the injured is good, and some are expected to be discharged from the hospital shortly.
Search and rescue operations carried out by the relevant authorities of the Russian Federation continue to identify the identities of the deceased and other necessary measures.
At the same time, necessary measures are being taken for the documentation of the rescued Azerbaijani citizens, providing them with return certificates, and organizing their return to the country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is keeping the issue under special control and is closely coordinating work with relevant authorities.
Additional information will be provided to the public about the identities of the deceased and about the transfer of their bodies to our country."
