Gasoline does not pay attention to the ceasefire - Prices are rising again.

Although oil prices started to decrease after a ceasefire agreement was reached between Washington and Tehran, gasoline in the U.S. not only did not become cheaper, but even increased slightly on April 9.

Medianews.az reports that the retail price of one gallon of gasoline in the U.S. was $4.14 one day before the ceasefire decision was announced. On April 9, the price was $4.17.

Analysts say that retail gasoline prices may decrease by about 1-2 cents per day in the coming days. However, it will take one to two weeks for the nationwide average price to drop below $4 per gallon again. The price returning to pre-war levels will take a longer period—most probably several months.

Before the U.S. and Israel started the war against Iran on February 28, the price of one gallon of gasoline in the U.S. was $2.98.
