The results of the extraordinary election in this country have been announced.

The snap parliamentary election held in Malta on May 30 ended with the victory of the ruling Labour Party.

Medianews.az reports that according to the official report, the party led by Prime Minister Robert Abela won 36 seats out of the 67-seat legislative body.

It is reported that the Nationalist Party secured 31 mandates.

Robert Abela, born in 1977, has been the Prime Minister since January 13, 2020.

The Maltese Parliament (House of Representatives) consists of at least 65 members. Five members are elected from each of the 13 districts through a proportional system (by party lists), but the number of mandates can increase depending on the results of the voting.
