The diplomatic channel with Iran remains open, new meetings are possible - Media

Although the 21-hour talks held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, between the US and Iran ended without results, diplomatic contacts continue.

Medianews.az reports that the US media has released information regarding this.

It is reported that the parties may return to the negotiating table again in the near future.

According to the news published by the "Wall Street Journal" publication, regional countries are making active diplomatic efforts to bring the parties back to the negotiations.

The main disagreements in the talks were about the status of the Strait of Hormuz, the future of Iran's uranium program, and the release of Tehran's frozen assets. Although the Iranian side proposed limited continuation of uranium enrichment or the reduction of reserves, no agreement was reached.

US Vice President Jay Di Vance confirmed that no agreement was reached in the talks and considered this more as a negative development for Iran. The Iranian side explained the failure by the US's "excessive demands."
