President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree today on "Indexation of labor pensions."
According to the document, all pensions assigned until January 1, 2026, will be increased from January 1 of this year by 9.3 percent in line with the annual growth of the average monthly wage for 2025, based on the information provided by the State Statistics Committee.
The indexation of labor pensions is carried out according to the Law on "Labor Pensions." According to this law, all types of labor pensions are increased by indexing them to the percentage increase in the average monthly wage nationwide in the previous year.
The indexation applies to all types of labor pensions. Based on Article 4 of the Law on "Labor Pensions," three types of labor pensions are identified: old-age labor pension, disability labor pension, and survivors' labor pension. Thus, regardless of the type of pension a citizen receives, an increase will be calculated for their pension amount.
Since the indexation is adjusted according to the indicator of the previous year, pensions of all citizens who acquired pension rights by December 31, 2025, inclusive, will be increased. The increases will apply to 1,100,000 of our citizens.
