Today, a walk-tour of a group of Azerbaijani women in national costumes was organized in the center of Baku within the framework of WUF13 by the joint organization of the NGO Agency and the Mirza Alakbar Sabir Foundation.
Medianews.az reports that the action was met with great interest by the residents of Baku and foreign guests.
Sevda Tahirli, the chairperson of the Mirza Alakbar Sabir Foundation and granddaughter of M.Ə.Sabir, whose works have been declared a state heritage, stated that the walk-tour along the route of Maiden Tower - Icherisheher - Natavan statue - National Seaside Boulevard – Khagani Park – Fountains Square – Sabir statue aimed to promote the national heritage and to arouse interest in national costumes and kelagayi scarves.
S. Tahirli noted that organizing this event within the framework of WUF13 and on the eve of Independence Day has special symbolic significance.
