"The first time he slipped, we barely managed to pull him out. The second time he slipped, we couldn't reach him..."
Medianews.az reports that Ramazan Khancerov, a resident of Gündüzqala village in Qusar district, said this to Baku TV while recounting the details of 29-year-old Farik Rasulov's death in the flood yesterday.
According to him, the incident happened while residents were watching the flood coming to the Quru river: "For two days, there has been a flood in the river. We were all standing on the shore, watching the flood. Farik was standing a little aside, the soil fell into the water. He fell in with it.
We ran so much, barefoot, the whole village ran, but we couldn't reach him. The water was very fast. He was the only son of the family, single. He was preparing for a wedding."
