The United States first provoked Iran to close the Strait of Hormuz, and now it is blocking this strait itself. Until yesterday, many thought that Trump was fighting to open the Strait of Hormuz, which was closed by Iran. However, today the US is blocking the strait and not allowing ships permitted by Iran to pass through. What is happening?
Today, Trump does not need the Strait of Hormuz to be opened. On the contrary, he is trying to keep the strait as closed as possible so that in the end many countries of the world—especially the European Union countries and NATO—join the military coalition created by the US-Israel duo to open the strait. That is the goal!
Trump wants to share the responsibility for this war with other states and NATO. Because the international community has always been against this war. After the massacre committed in Gaza, Israel was facing protests from the peoples of the world.
At the same time, the purpose of the US and Israel in expanding the military union they created is not to use the military potential of other countries. The United States has sufficient military potential to overpower Iran in this war. Trump simply understands very well that Iran will not enter into any negotiations and it will not be possible to make it surrender by bombing. For this reason, Trump sees the only way to defeat Iran as using nuclear weapons. This step is dangerous enough to shake the world. Understanding the seriousness of the issue well, the US president aims to share this responsibility with other countries.
Imagine that even after other countries join the coalition, no negotiations between the US and Iran yield any result, the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, and because the strait remains closed, the world economy faces serious losses. In this case, the US decides to use nuclear weapons against Iran. If this happens, the responsibility for the step taken will not only lie with the US and Israel but also with other countries that joined the military coalition. This is the real reason for the prolongation of the war and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz!
