Will Trump crash oil prices?

US President Donald Trump will address the nation with important information regarding Iran on April 1 at 9:00 PM (Washington time).

This statement from the White House came shortly after Trump told journalists yesterday that US troops could leave Iran "within two to three weeks."

It should be noted that since the start of the Iran war, the oil market has been extremely sensitive to statements made by the US president. In fact, Donald Trump's announcements currently move the oil market both upward and downward.

Yesterday, the price of Brent crude oil rose to as much as $119.24 per barrel, but this morning "black gold" is trading below $104.

Market participants estimate that if Trump announces that the war in Iran will indeed end soon, oil prices could drop another 10-15% today.

Let me note that in the US, the price of "Regular" (Ai-92) gasoline has surpassed $4 per gallon (which is $1.06 per liter or 1.8 manat).

Before the war started in Iran on February 28 of this year, the price of this grade of gasoline in the US varied between $0.55 and $0.59 per liter.
