A veteran of the Patriotic War from the Lankaran district has passed away.
Medianews.az reports, citing Qafqazinfo, that Aqil Bakhtiyar oghlu Nuriyev, a 33-year-old captain and resident of the village of Cil in the district, died after a long illness.
It was stated that Aqil, a participant of the 44-day Patriotic War, had been undergoing cancer treatment for the past 4 days at a hospital located in Baku city. He passed away at that medical institution.
The deceased's body was brought to his native village today and was buried.
