These cars in Azerbaijan IT HAS BECOME EXPENSIVE

The main trend in the Azerbaijani automobile market this month has been the continued increase in some segments against the backdrop of overall price stabilization. The price increase has been mostly observed in second-hand, well-maintained, and fuel-efficient cars.

Medianews.az reports that according to National.Az's research, the price increases that began at the beginning of the year continued during the spring months. Particularly, different price changes have been noted in the market depending on the production years of the cars.

Among cars produced between 2005-2010, the most price increases were recorded for Toyota Prius, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and Honda Civic models. In this category, prices rose on average from 1,000 manats to 2,500 manats. The main reason was the increase in buyers looking for reliable cars at reasonable prices.

For cars produced between 2011-2015, the price increase was recorded higher. In Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, BMW 5 Series, and Chevrolet Cruze models, the price increase ranged from 2,000 manats to 4,500 manats. Cars from these years have been in higher demand both in terms of comfort and price.

In cars from 2016-2020, the increase was mainly observed in hybrid and low-mileage models. Models like Toyota Prius, Kia Cerato, Hyundai Elantra, and Honda Insight increased in price by between 2,500 manats and 5,000 manats.

In new and relatively new cars from 2021-2025, the price increase has mostly been related to import costs. The price difference in hybrid and electric cars rose from 3,000 manats to 7,000 manats.

The most notably price-increased models in the market include Toyota Prius, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, and Honda Civic.

According to experts, the main reasons for the price increases are related to the rise in customs costs, decrease in imports, increase in the cost of spare parts, and the rise in demand for cars before the summer season.

It should be noted that in April 2026, the highest price increases were observed in mid-priced, economy, and hybrid cars.
