Medianews.az reports that the landslide was recorded in the area of Separadi village of the district.
Approximately 200 meters long and 7 meters high layer of soil slid and flowed into the Ulum river. According to the information given by the villagers, the landslide has been continuing for a long time. It was reported that after the recent rains, the landslide became more active.
Ayıq Əliyev, an engineer-hydrotechnician of the Lankaran Water Melioration Systems Operation Department, stated that an inspection was conducted in the area of Separadi village at the request, where the flood caused damage:
"It was found that the landslide was recorded approximately 200 meters long. In this regard, with the help of the department's machinery, temporary soil embankment works will be carried out using local material to prevent the fault from expanding. Afterwards, the relevant authorities will be contacted."
