As the number of people who want to start a business and open public catering facilities in Azerbaijan increases, the legal requirements in this field are also becoming more relevant. Although many entrepreneurs want to start operating, they are not sufficiently informed about the legal procedures and permits ahead.
So, what stages must be gone through to open a facility and what should entrepreneurs pay attention to?
Medianews.az reports that, first of all, entrepreneurial activity must be officially registered. At this time, state registration should be done as a legal entity or individual entrepreneur.
To engage in this activity, the entrepreneur must register with the State Tax Service and obtain a Tax Identification Number (TIN), choose a tax regime, and register a cash register.
If the facility belongs to the entrepreneur, a document confirming ownership rights – an extract – must be submitted. If the facility is rented, a notarized rental agreement is required. The designation of the facility must be a non-residential area.
In addition, when opening a facility, a sanitary-epidemiological opinion must be obtained from the relevant institutions. Before starting operations, compliance with fire safety requirements must be checked and the relevant opinion obtained.
Some activities may also require licenses. There must be utility agreements in the name of the entrepreneur for electricity, gas, and water supply.
Employees who will work in the facility must undergo a medical examination, obtain a medical opinion, and an employment contract must be signed with the employees. //Milli.Az
