In January-February of this year, 44.2 thousand tons of sugar and candy were produced in Azerbaijan. This figure represents an increase of approximately 33.5% compared to the same period last year.
Medianews.az According to the State Statistical Committee, the production of sugar confectionery products in the country has also increased over the past year, showing a 14.1% rise and totaling 1,549.2 tons.
As of March 1, the stocks of finished products have also significantly increased. Specifically, the reserves of sugar and candy reached 18.9 thousand tons, marking a 9.5-fold increase compared to previous years. The stocks of sugar confectionery products increased by 33.1%, reaching 90.1 tons.
During the reporting period, food products worth a total of 937.7 million AZN were produced in the country, indicating an annual increase of 11.4%.
