In the January-February period of this year, 30.28 tons of black tea worth 265.73 thousand US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan to Ukraine.
Medianews.az, citing the State Statistics Committee, reports that this indicator has increased by 43.9% in value terms and by 45.5% in volume terms compared to the first two months of last year.
For information, in the January-March period of this year, 2,644.3 tons of tea were produced in Azerbaijan. This is 6.4% more compared to the corresponding period of last year.
In the first quarter, 204.12 tons of tea worth 1,758 thousand US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan to foreign markets. Tea exports increased by 15.1% in value and by 18.2% in volume compared to January-March of 2025.
During the same period, 3,158.63 tons of tea worth 20,378 thousand US dollars were imported into the country, which is 19.8% less in value and 23.6% less in volume compared to the corresponding period of last year.
