Some of the residential houses located in the Sabail district of the capital are facing serious danger. As a result of the landslide that occurred in the area, a part of the road collapsed, and large cracks appeared in the yards and fences. The current situation increases the risk of the houses located in the upper part collapsing onto the buildings below.
Medianews.az, citing Milli.Az, reports that the addresses in question are 15B and 5D on Badamdar road, Bayil settlement. It is reported that about 10 households are forced to live in dangerous conditions here. According to them, representatives of the relevant authorities have inspected the area regarding the issue. Nevertheless, since the residents have no alternative places to move to, they continue to stay in their homes despite the risk.
The residents note that such situations are not happening for the first time. Similar dangerous situations have occurred before, and they have taken certain preventive measures within their means.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations, commenting on the matter, stated that specialists from the State Agency for Control over Safety in Construction inspected the area, documented the situation, prepared a report, and submitted it to the local executive authority.
The Sabail District Executive Authority also stated that official requests have been sent to the relevant authorities regarding the landslide, and steps are being taken to resolve the problem.
