During the occupation period, the Armenian leadership, which built a road from Basarkeçər to Kəlbəcər and announced the third road to Cəbrayıl, has today revealed its election platform and said "everything is over"! It is not that important who built the road to Azerbaijan's occupied territories; this illegality was carried out by Armenia's leadership, what matters is that those leading the country today have a completely different stance.
Let us recall these days in 2018. The act of Nikol Pashinyan, with his arm in a sling and a bag on his waist, along with a group overthrowing Serzh Sargsyan from power, surprised many. Pashinyan was elected prime minister in the second round with only 59 votes in parliament (42 deputies voted against him), which caused a shock effect. The man who made his first trip after election to Azerbaijan's city of Shusha, feasting and drinking, "going yallı" (a traditional Armenian dance), becoming intoxicated and lying on the land, and in the following year voiced claims that Karabakh belonged to Armenia, today carries the banner of "Real Armenia" on his chest in election propaganda, warning, above all, that if you say "Karabakh," then be offended with yourself!
Undoubtedly, this reality was created by the Azerbaijani state, the President of Azerbaijan, and our victorious army!
Pay attention to Pashinyan's election platform: "With your support, the 'Civil Contract' party accomplished its most important mission. Peace has been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and Armenia has opened a period of peaceful development."
Peace achieved with Azerbaijan is not only the salvation path for the ruling team but for Armenia as a whole; Pashinyan knows this very well. He still tries to make those who are war rhetoric followers understand and discourage them from poisoning the minds of Armenians again. True, the treatment is a heavy and long process. It is a tragedy in history that Armenians, marking Turks as enemies for their children... Therefore, Pashinyan also pins Armenia's "real map" on the children's clothes, intending to start the healing from them.
Speaking at the extraordinary congress of the "Civil Contract" party, Pashinyan said that the Karabakh movement was a "geopolitical trap" for Armenia and that this issue has now been archived. He openly stated that the only way to achieve peace is to completely abandon past claims! Quote: "We will no longer dig into where who lives, whose belongs to whom. We are closing this matter. Only by this way can we achieve peace. We have our truth, but others also have their truth."
Yes, Pashinyan has gained the opportunity to refer to archives during this period. He knows that not only in maps belonging to Azerbaijan but also in documents of Tsarist Russia, in the 1903 map, there was no country named Armenia in the Caucasus, and what exists with 9 thousand sq.km was created by Soviet Russia within Azerbaijani territory. However, to this day, that country's "cadastral document" has not been obtained, and even at the Paris Peace Conference, Armenia was not registered, unlike the Azerbaijani state.
Pashinyan knows that if after the 44-day lesson of 2020 and the anti-terror strike of 2023, he errs again or contemplates continuing the conflict, the Azerbaijani state can bring the map in Paris to the table and claim its historical right. Therefore, he sends a "let's be smart" message to his countrymen. This is indeed the most correct approach.
The fact that Armenians who voluntarily leave Karabakh are not labeled as "forcibly relocated," that by coming to the June 7 elections they are essentially called to vote for the final peace agreement to be signed with Azerbaijan and the TRIPP (Zangezur corridor) project, is also commendable. Yes, this is the reality created by the President of Azerbaijan. Pashinyan once wanted to build a road to Cəbrayıl to approach Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur by alternative routes. Now he addresses his voters, saying, "Come to vote, let's go, let's build the Zangezur corridor – TRIPP!" Applause is deserved!
For a normal atmosphere to emerge in the Caucasus, first, the exploitation of Armenians as a tool must end. How far Pashinyan can advance on this path is hard to say because he has previously displayed many contradictory positions that undermined his credibility. But it seems that Moscow talks have played a guarantee role for Pashinyan.
Otherwise, after returning from a meeting with the Russian leader, Pashinyan would not dare to extend the house arrest of his main rival, Samvel Karapetyan, by three more months. Moreover, the billionaire's supporters have been intimidated and arrested. Nikol Pashinyan's announcement about an agreement to meet with the Russian president in the second half of June says a lot. And... his very comfortable talks about peace with Azerbaijan, saying "miatsum is over." Imagine, Pashinyan has announced his election platform many hours ago, yet there is no sign of the Kocharyan-Sargsyan duo who declared competition with him, appeared with the "miatsum" slogan since the 1980s, committed crimes, always used the Karabakh issue as a flag in their hands, and indulged in looting, as if they have gone mute and deaf. Maybe they are dead. They died anyway after Karabakh was liberated...
That footage from the Antalya Diplomacy Forum will probably not be forgotten by anyone: Leaders of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Pakistan together! This unity is a warning to those who want to be enemies with us. Nobody must forget this!
