Conductor dropped the million-dollar violin on the ground - VIDEO

During a concert in Finland, the conductor accidentally dropped a rare violin worth one million dollars from the soloist's hand.

Medianews.az Reports, citing Oxu.Az, that the orchestra was led by British conductor Matthew Halls.

According to the information, during the performance of the violin concert, the conductor's baton touched the hand of the violinist Elina Vähälä, and as a result, the instrument fell onto the stage.

The violin in question was made in 1780 by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini.

After the incident, the performance was briefly halted; the violinist picked up the instrument, made a short tuning, and then continued the performance. It was reported that the instrument was not seriously damaged.

It is noted that Elina Vähälä had previously experienced a similar incident with this violin – in 2012, she left the instrument on a train in Germany, but the violin was returned within an hour.
