North Korea has launched ballistic missiles - UPDATED

In the early morning hours, North Korea fired several missiles classified by Japan as ballistic.

This was reported by Japan's Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi, who is on a visit to Australia.

According to him, the missile launch was carried out at approximately 6:00 AM local time.

Japan stated that the missiles have already fallen, although the strike zone was outside the country’s exclusive economic zone. Tokyo also noted that there is no confirmation that the missiles entered Japan's economic exclusive zone.

On Sunday, North Korea fired at least one ballistic missile eastward.

This was reported by the "Yonhap" agency, citing the Republic of Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.

It was noted that the launch was recorded this morning, and the additional characteristics of the missile, including flight distance and other parameters, are currently being clarified.

This is a new episode of Pyongyang's missile activity in April. Previously, on April 8, South Korea reported several North Korean tests, including missiles launched from the Wonsan area and, according to Seoul, another missile test flying over 700 kilometers./report
