The aircraft operating Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) flight J2-295 from Baku to Nakhchivan has returned to Baku due to stormy weather conditions.

Medianews.az reports that the information was released by "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC.

It was stated that the plane successfully landed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport at 21:09.

It was noted that flight J2-2257 from Baku to Nakhchivan was also postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions. Passengers will be given detailed information regarding possible changes:

"For your information, the unstable weather conditions observed in Nakhchivan in recent days have complicated the execution of flights on the Baku–Nakhchivan–Baku route according to the planned schedule and have caused some changes to the flight timetable.

Due to Nakhchivan’s geographical location and mountainous terrain, wind, limited visibility, and rapidly changing meteorological conditions directly affect flight operations in some cases. Therefore, in order to ensure the safe performance of flights, prompt decisions are made according to the weather conditions."
