A prisoner exchange in a 157 to 157 format has been carried out as a result of trilateral talks held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), between the US, Russia, and Ukraine. This is the first exchange to take place between the parties in the last 5 months.
According to Milli.Az, based on the statement of Steve Witkoff, the US President Donald Trump's Special Representative for the Middle East, both sides agreed to the release of 157 military prisoners as a result of meetings held on February 4-5. The Russian Ministry of Defense has already confirmed that 157 Russian soldiers have been returned, and in exchange, the same number of Ukrainian soldiers have been handed over.
