"I am in such a situation that I cannot even visit his grave" — "Dəli Kür"'s Malak

Novruz is the only holiday that I truly consider a real holiday. Because my daughter was born on March 20, the day the year turns. Also, my husband, People's Artist Yusif Valiyev, was born on March 22. That's why Novruz is the dearest holiday for me.”

This was stated by Honored Artist Zemfira Sadigova in an interview with Musavat.com.

She said that due to health reasons, she has not been able to visit her husband's grave for a long time:

"Yusif has not been with us for 46 years. We recall his words, his jokes. Right now, I am in such a condition that I cannot even go to his grave. I am 86 years old, and in three months I will be 87.

I shared a life with Yusif for 15 years. But I have memories related to him that do not fit into 15 years. My children and I always remember Yusif with love and affection. My daughter says that an artist who could replace her father does not exist in Azerbaijan yet. I agree with this opinion. I do not see an all-around artist like him. His voice alone was worth everything. By the way, my daughter is also an artist, she paints."

The Honored Artist also spoke about her daily routine:

"I am very old; I do not clean the house or cook. I spend the whole day reading news on the tablet, keeping up with the world. Then I watch the films and shows I want. I even read literary works on the tablet. My grandchildren are abroad; they call, and I talk with them. Friends and relatives ask how I am doing. In short, I do not get bored."

It should be noted that Ms. Zemfira has given many successful characters to our national cinema. However, everyone knows her mostly as the “Angel of Mad Kur” and the wife of the late People's Artist Yusif Valiyev, a giant actor and performer of roles such as “Teymur Lang” and “Wolf Jabrayil.”
