Double Paralympic and four-time world champion in athletics sprinting Lamiyə Vəliyeva from the able-bodied category had an unsuccessful performance at the indoor world championship held in Torun, Poland.
Medianews.az reports, citing "Qafqazinfo," that the 23-year-old athlete did not even advance to the semifinals.
She tested her strength in the 60-meter sprint. Lamiyə finished last among 8 athletes, completing the distance in 7.65 seconds.
From group 5, the semifinal qualifying spots were taken by Dina Eyher-Smith (Great Britain), Ana Azevedo (Brazil), and Zo Hobbs (New Zealand).
