Actress Serenay Sarıkaya, who was detained in the framework of the investigation into the use of narcotic substances against well-known figures in Turkey, has been released.

The investigation initiated by the Bakırköy Republic Prosecutor's Office regarding the use of narcotic or psychotropic substances is ongoing. Within the scope of the investigation, Serenay Sarıkaya, for whom a detention order was issued last week but could not be apprehended as she was abroad, was taken into custody after returning to Turkey.
After the statement procedure at the Gendarmerie was completed, the actress underwent a medical examination at Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital. Later, taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution, Sarıkaya provided hair and blood samples for narcotic testing. After the procedures were completed, she was released.
In a statement made after the detention order last week, the actress said she was on a planned foreign trip, and that she would return to the country as soon as possible and fulfill all legal procedures.
It should be noted that within the scope of the investigation, the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command conducted simultaneous operations at 25 addresses in the districts of Beşiktaş, Sarıyer, Beyoğlu, Kağıthane, and Üsküdar in Istanbul, as well as in Muğla. During the operation, search and detention measures were carried out against 25 suspects.
As part of the investigation, the well-known doctor Mehmet Rahşan was also arrested after being sent to court with a detention request by the prosecutor's office.
