According to the information from the National Hydrometeorology Service, visibility on the roads is expected to be limited to 500-1000 meters due to foggy weather.
Medianews.az reports that this is stated in the warning to drivers from the Main State Traffic Police Department.
"It is known that foggy weather significantly limits the driver's visibility range, which creates conditions for road traffic accidents of high severity, including chain collisions," the institution added.
The Main State Traffic Police Department, considering the increase in the number of people heading to regions, recreational, and tourism areas during the holiday vacation days, asks drivers setting out on a trip to reduce speed to a minimum in foggy, misty weather, keep more distance, ensure the functionality of external lighting devices, and strictly comply with safety rules during overtaking, maneuvering, stopping, standing, and parking.
