Recently, the number of employment fairs held in various cities and districts of the country has increased. The aim is to establish direct contact between job seekers and employers, to expand information about vacancies, and to contribute to increasing employment.
Medianews.az reports that opinions about the effectiveness of employment fairs are not unanimous. Some experts say that these events create additional opportunities for job seekers, while others think they do not fully deliver the expected results.
According to experts, although employment fairs help a certain number of citizens find jobs, the main role in the modern labor market belongs to professional connections (networking), personal skills, and work experience. According to them, in many cases, vacancies are intended for predetermined candidates, and not all of the job positions presented at fairs result in actual employment.
Fairs alone are not sufficient for the integration of young people into the labor market. For this, it is important to increase internship programs, strengthen professional training, develop university-industry cooperation, and establish continuous relations between employers and young people.
Although employment fairs are a useful platform for job seekers, personal initiative, professional development, and a broad network of connections remain decisive factors for building a successful career.
