In May of this year, a 4.2 percent price increase was recorded in Armenia's consumer market compared to the same month last year.
Medianews.az reports that the information was published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia.
According to the data, over one year, prices increased by 7.7 percent for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, 6.4 percent for food and non-alcoholic beverages, 1.8 percent for clothing and footwear, and 1.1 percent for communal services.
Based on the official report, in the country, over the past year, education increased by 8.3 percent, public catering and hotel services by 3.8 percent, healthcare services by 3.7 percent, transportation by 3.2 percent, recreation and cultural services by 1.6 percent, communication by 1.2 percent, and household items by 0.4 percent.
