Residents living on Hanifa Alasgarova and Suleyman Rustamov streets in Nasimi district of Baku have faced a serious problem.
Medianews.az reports citing Real TV that the reason is the disturbance caused by the ongoing demolition in the area, as well as the low amount offered for the demolition of their houses.
According to the citizen, they have been living in this house for approximately more than 30 years. It has been 10 years since they heard that their house was included in the plan.
However, so far only 14 families have been relocated, and demolition has started without the full relocation of the residents.
The residents who have not left their houses are not satisfied with the compensation offered by the construction company.
"They told us prices that make it impossible to buy houses in these areas," the resident emphasized.
The construction company's lawyer, Ramilə Bağırova, said that the claims are unfounded and that the houses the residents currently live in are small in size.
