Use of vuvuzelas in FIFA WC-2026 forbade

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has banned the use of vuvuzelas at the matches of the World Cup (WC-2026) to be held in the USA, Mexico, and Canada in 2026.

Medianews.az reports that Oxu.Az has provided this information.

According to the information, the ban will also apply to whistles, horns, and other loud noise-making items in addition to vuvuzelas.

It is noted that bringing musical instruments larger than 12 cm into the stadiums will require prior written agreement with the tournament organizers.

The vuvuzela is a long, trumpet-like musical instrument that gained great popularity at the 2010 World Cup held in South Africa. Due to its loud and monotonous sound, the use of vuvuzelas has been banned at many sports events worldwide.

It should be noted that WC-2026 will be held from June 11 to July 19. For the first time, 48 teams will participate in the tournament.
