Private Rəcəb Mənsimli, born in 1996, of the Azerbaijani Army, who died as a result of an unfortunate incident while performing his duties in the Ömər pass area of the Kalbajar district, has been laid to rest.
Medianews.az reports that our serviceman was buried in Zevin village of Yardimli district, where he was born.
District officials, soldiers, the relatives of the deceased, and villagers attended the funeral ceremony.
It should be recalled that according to the Ministry of Defense, due to snowy and icy conditions in the Ömər pass area, two servicemen fell into a ravine.
Based on preliminary information, Private Rəcəb Mənsimli lost his life by falling into the ravine while trying to rescue the other soldier who had fallen at the pass. The other serviceman injured in the incident — İlyas Coşqun oğlu Osmanov — was immediately evacuated to a medical institution, and his condition is stable.
