In Iran, three participants of the protests held in January were executed on charges of killing two policemen.
This was reported by the "Tasnim" agency.
According to the information, the convicts confessed to being guilty of killing two law enforcement officers during anti-government demonstrations held on January 7 in Qom province. They were also accused of "serving the interests of Israel and the USA," but the details of this accusation were not disclosed.
Recall that at the end of December 2025, the devaluation of the Iranian rial caused mass protests in the country. The Iranian government reported that 3,117 people were killed during the riots, including 200 officers.
It should be noted that this is not the first execution related to participation in the January protests. Ali Rahbar, a 33-year-old bodybuilding coach from Mashhad, was executed on January 23 for this reason.//Qafqazinfo
