At least 10 people have died and 25 injured as a result of a shooting at a high school in the city of Tumbler Ridge in the province of British Columbia, Canada. Some of the injured are reported to be in serious condition.
"Qafqazinfo" reports that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) announced that they received information about an active shooter at the school on Tuesday afternoon.
Police officers who entered the scene found multiple bodies in the building. The person suspected to be the attacker was also found dead.
Officials have stated that there is no additional threat to the public at this time and the emergency alert has been lifted.
After the incident, high and elementary schools in Tumbler Ridge have been closed until the end of the week. Local authorities have announced that psychological and social support will be provided to the community.
