American General Antonio Aquito forgot secret documents on a train while leading the military aid group to Ukraine.
Medianews.az reports, citing "Qafqazinfo," that this information was included in a Pentagon report.
According to the report based on statements from 33 witnesses, the incident occurred in the first half of 2024.
Specifically, Aquito took classified materials with him during his trip to Ukraine, contrary to the instructions of the US ambassador. He forgot the secret documents on a train in Poland while traveling from Germany to Kyiv. The documents were found only one day later and were handed over to the US embassy in Ukraine.
Furthermore, it was revealed that the general consumed excessive alcohol during a dinner in Ukraine. The intoxicated general fell and suffered a brain injury that evening. A day later, he arrived intoxicated at a meeting with then US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
It should be noted that General Antonio Aquito resigned from the US Army in August of the same year.
