There is a frightening silence over Moscow.
Strange events are happening… The internet disappears… Communication is cut off… Telegram is blocked…
Some generals are arrested, some mysteriously “fall” out of windows.
Is this just a security measure?
Or are these signs of unseen struggles within the power?
Long wars gnaw not only at the front lines but also at the nerves of capitals. As trust weakens among elites, the language of the state apparatus hardens, and old imperial reflexes – suspicion and the “cleansing” of the loyal – become relevant again.
Russian history shows that when the Kremlin weakens, it tries to protect itself this way.
But the same history whispers another truth: as fear grows within the power, the system becomes even stricter. Yet, as it hardens, it becomes more fragile, more prone to breaking…
Today’s silence over Moscow may simply be a security reflex.
Perhaps it is that familiar imperial silence before a great political earthquake…
