Oil war begins: Iran crossed the "red line"

“The commander of the SEPAH fleet, Alireza Tangsiri, stated that the oil facilities associated with the USA will be considered American bases and that strikes will be carried out against those facilities. He called on the employees working at the mentioned sites and other civilians to evacuate those areas.”

This was stated by political analyst Elkhan Shahinoglu in an interview with Medianews.az.

The political analyst said that with this, the SEPAH commander crossed out the theses of his country’s officials who say “we only strike military centers” or “we have not struck oil and gas centers”: “SEPAH, with the approach of ‘we have struck and will continue to strike the oil and gas facilities of the Gulf countries,’ put an end to the matter. This is a kind of confirmation of Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan’s statement regarding Iran’s conservative government, ‘if I am sinking, I will sink the region with me.’ Iran currently cannot sell its oil, and thus, deprived of financial income and suffering heavy losses, including from bombings by the USA and Israel, SEPAH has targeted countries that earn revenue from the exploitation of oil and gas.”
