New security restrictions have been imposed for Members of the European Parliament. According to the decision, the use of artificial intelligence tools on service tablets provided to the deputies will no longer be possible.
Milli.Az reports that the special tablets provided to the members of Parliament are intended solely for official purposes. Through these devices, it is possible to access internal databases, work on draft laws, and participate in voting. The connection of personal devices to the system is not allowed.
Previously, deputies were advised to use "Faraday bags" during trips and not to connect to suspicious Wi-Fi networks. With the new decision, digital security measures have been further tightened, and access to neural network-based platforms has been completely blocked.
Experts state that the use of artificial intelligence tools in the preparation of official documents is widespread in Western countries. However, there are also risks. According to them, in some cases, traces of artificial intelligence in texts are clearly noticeable, which could call into question the role of the human factor in the preparation of the document.
Observers believe that this step by the European Parliament leadership serves both to strengthen information security and to protect the professional reputation of the deputies.
