With artificial intelligence, more than one hundred An exoplanet has been discovered.

British and Argentine astronomers have developed a neural network that allows determining the existence of more than a hundred exoplanets previously unknown to astronomers. This achievement paves the way for the use of artificial intelligence in the search for Earth-like planets and other rare types of planets.

Medianews.az reports that this was announced by the press service of the University of Warwick in Great Britain.

"We were able to confirm the existence of 118 exoplanets. As a result, we compiled the most detailed catalog of planets orbiting their stars at unusually close distances. This will help us select the most interesting objects for research," said Warwick University astronomer Marin Lafargue.

The scientists made this discovery while testing an algorithm developed for the automatic analysis of images from the TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Telescope), which was launched into orbit in April 2018 to replace the Kepler probe./axar.az
