Unexpected move from Trump: "I can negotiate with Iran"

US President Donald Trump made an unexpected and soft statement regarding Iran at a press conference held in the state of Florida.

Medianews.az reports, citing Musavat.com, that while Trump stated that military operations are "very successful" on the one hand, on the other hand he did not rule out the possibility of direct dialogue with official Tehran.

In response to a journalist's question, "Will you sit at the negotiating table with Iran?" Trump said, "Yes, I can talk to anyone. I am a man of negotiations. But our conditions are clear: no nuclear weapons, no support for terrorism."

Trump made this statement after a one-hour phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Saying that Putin "offered help" on the Iran issue, Trump noted that there is no need for this yet, but dialogue is always on the table.

The President described the ongoing military operation as a "small excursion to eliminate evil" and emphasized that the war will end very soon, but that it will not happen this week.

Despite Trump's "softening" message, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared that no talks with the US are on the agenda "after bitter experiences."
