Since May of last year, consumer prices in Turkey have increased by 32.61 percent.
Medianews.az reports, citing Turkey's Statistical Institution, that the price increase in utility services was 45.59 percent, in food and non-alcoholic beverages 34.86 percent, in alcoholic beverages and tobacco products 29.85 percent, and in clothing and footwear 14.08 percent.
During the year, prices in the education sector rose by 50.06 percent, in transportation by 34.29 percent, in health services by 32.94 percent, in public catering and hotel services by 31.59 percent, in insurance and financial services by 28.3 percent, in recreation and cultural services by 25.88 percent, in communication services by 25.58 percent, and in household items by 22.36 percent.
